The Story

Miles Morales first appeared in Ultimate Fallout #4 in August 2011, created by writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Sara Pichelli. In Marvel's Ultimate universe (Earth-1610), Miles is a Brooklyn-raised Afro-Latino teenager who is bitten by a genetically altered spider and takes up the mantle after that world's Peter Parker dies. He was the first Black-Latino character to carry the Spider-Man name, and the debut drew wide coverage well beyond comics pages.

His power set overlaps with Peter Parker's, wall-crawling, super strength, spider-sense, but adds two of his own: a bio-electric venom blast that stuns enemies and a camouflage ability that turns him invisible. Marvel eventually folded him into the main 616 continuity, so Miles and Peter now operate side by side. He shares a rogues gallery with the classic Spider-Man too, from Venom to Green Goblin.

He broke through to a global audience with Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse in 2018, which won an Academy Award. His version balances family, identity, and heroism, and across comics, video games, and film, Miles has become the Spider-Man of a new generation.

The Drop

Miles hit VeVe in October 2022, right inside the Spider-Verse hype cycle, with the films, the PlayStation games, and his growing comic presence all feeding demand.

The structure is what stands out. Most VeVe Marvel drops use five tiers starting at Common, which pushes edition counts into the tens of thousands. Miles started at Rare, holding total supply at just 3,000, exceptionally low for a character this relevant.

The Three Variants

This premium set skips Common and Uncommon, running three tiers from a hooded street look to a fully animated swing.

Hoodie Season collectible

Hoodie Season
Rare1,750
Hands tucked in his pockets, red hoodie thrown over the mask with the black Spidey suit peeking through, paired with loose shorts and red-and-white high tops. It fuses streetwear with superhero swagger and captures how grounded Miles feels: still a kid carrying the weight of a multiverse. As the base tier of this premium set it opens the ladder at Rare rather than Common.
Ultimate Spider-Man collectible

Ultra Rare1,000
Miles suited up in the black-and-red Ultimate costume, no hoodie and no shorts, just the full suit. Every line pops with definition, from the red webbing on his chest to the panels down his arms and legs, caught in a dynamic mid-air web-slinging pose. The Ultra Rare tier sits in the middle of this three-piece set.

Secret Rare250
The showstopper. Fully animated with sound, it captures Miles flipping, twisting, and swinging, his red-and-black suit gleaming as the background fades to white. It plays like a mini-scene straight out of Into the Spider-Verse. As the Secret Rare it caps the ladder at just 250 editions.

Market Context

3,000 total editions for a character this popular is exceptional scarcity by VeVe standards. For comparison, the first Spider-Man (Peter Parker) had over 30,000 editions. Miles has roughly one-tenth of that supply with cultural pull that keeps growing.

The Secret Rare at 250 stands out even more, among the lowest edition counts for any Marvel collectible on VeVe. With the Collect blockchain migration complete and StackR live, trading premium pieces like this is easier than ever.

Collector's Note

Miles is the Spider-Man for a new generation, and his star keeps rising: the Spider-Verse films won Oscars, the games sell millions, and he is closing in on Peter Parker levels of recognition. Owning his digital first at just 3,000 total editions is a spot most collectors would want.

The Secret Rare at 250 is the trophy, but even the Rare at 1,750 is tighter than most VeVe Common tiers. If you also hunt Spider-Verse villains, a Carnage pairs well with a Miles. All three variants trade on the VeVe secondary market, sometimes below the original $50 retail. New to the app? Grab $10 off your first purchase
