The Story
Carnage is the offspring of the Venom symbiote, and he carries none of Venom's restraint. The symbiote bonded to Cletus Kasady, a serial killer, which is alien power welded to human insanity.
Kasady first turned up in The Amazing Spider-Man #344 in 1990, and Carnage debuted in full in The Amazing Spider-Man #361, cover-dated April 1992, created by David Michelinie and Mark Bagley. He landed as one of Spidey's most lethal foes, chaotic and unpredictable enough that Peter Parker and Eddie Brock have had to team up just to contain him.
The sculpt crouches him in a hunter's pose, sinewy red form twisted with black tendrils lashing out in every direction. Jagged teeth stay bared in a feral snarl, and the signature arm-blade is raised to strike. The symbiote texture reads pulsing and veiny, which makes it one of the more aggressive VeVe sculpts to display in AR.
How It Dropped
There was no store button. Carnage was the reward at the end of the Carnage Path: you had to hold all four Venomized Mightys, Venomized Falcon, Scarlet Witch, Beast, and Storm, from the Marvel Mightys Venomized series, then craft-and-pay $30 to mint one. No collectibles were burned in the craft. Store and market copies of the four Mightys both counted, and the window closed July 14, 2024, which fixed supply at 1,111.
