The Story

This is Danny Ketch, introduced in Ghost Rider Vol. 3 #1 in May 1990, created by Howard Mackie and Javier Saltares. That series relaunched Ghost Rider for the 1990s and turned it into one of Marvel's best-selling books of the decade, which is a big part of why Ketch, not Blaze, is the version many readers picture first.

Ketch stumbles onto a mystical motorcycle in a cemetery and gets bonded, unwillingly, to the Spirit of Vengeance. Where Johnny Blaze made a deal, Ketch is the reluctant host, caught between his humanity and the penance stare he turns on the guilty. The fiery chain, the flaming skull, and the hell-cycle all carried over from his run into everything after it.

The sculpt renders Ketch in premium 3D: dark spiked leather, a flaming chain in hand, and a bike whose wheels look hotter than the road under them. The detail runs from the skull blaze down to the molten tread, built to hold up in an AR showcase.

The Collectible

At $50 with a 1,200 run, this sits in VeVe's mid-tier for a single-character premium sculpt, in line with other solo Marvel firsts like Black Panther. It landed in Season 7, one drop after the Season 6 X-Men firsts. The Halloween-eve timing fit the character, and it stands as the first digital Ghost Rider on the platform.
