The Story

Kate Bishop debuted in Young Avengers #1, cover-dated April 2005, written by Allan Heinberg and drawn by Jim Cheung. She started with no powers and no invitation, a wealthy teenager who trained herself in archery, fencing, and hand-to-hand after surviving an assault, then armed herself out of Avengers Mansion to fight beside the Young Avengers on their first outing.

She earned the Hawkeye name the hard way. Clint Barton handed it to her after seeing her shoot, and Matt Fraction and David Aja's 2012 Hawkeye run put the two archers on equal footing and made Kate a headliner in her own right. She spars with the old guard, the Iron Man and Captain America generation, while leading the one after it. The Disney+ Hawkeye series in late 2021 put Hailee Steinfeld's version on screen, and this collectible landed while that visibility was still fresh.

The collectible animates the shot. Kate holds a confident stance in sunglasses, then draws the bowstring back with her hair swaying and her focus locked. The motion is comic-accurate, and the pulsing purple Hawkeye backdrop reads well on a shelf display or in AR.

The Hawkeye and Kate Bishop series ran on a waitlist, with two store collectibles: the Ultra Rare Hawkeye at 1,500 and this Secret Rare Kate at 900. The third piece, Ronin, was a craft you unlocked by holding both. As the Secret Rare of the pair, Kate carried the tighter store supply and the longer pull odds at 1 in 3.37 against Hawkeye's 1 in 1.96.
