The Story

Clint Barton first appeared in Tales of Suspense #57, cover-dated September 1964, created by Stan Lee and Don Heck. He started as a carnival marksman turned reluctant villain before switching sides and joining the team in Avengers #16 in 1965. No powers, no armor, no hammer, just a bow and a refusal to miss.
