The Story
The Lamborghini Diablo arrived in 1990 as the successor to the Countach and became the poster car for a new generation. Styled under Marcello Gandini, it was the first road-going Lamborghini capable of exceeding 200 mph, powered by a mid-mounted V12 that started at 5.7 liters and grew to 6.0. It carried the marque through the 1990s across a run of special and competition versions before production ended in 2001.
By Lamborghini's standards of the era it was also a high-volume car: around 2,900 were built in total, which made it the brand's most-produced model to that point. When it retired in 2001, the Murciélago took over as the V12 flagship. This VeVe set renders the Diablo in four colors, splitting them across the rarity tiers.

The First Edition status is permanent. However many Diablo colors or trims VeVe releases later, this May 2023 set will always be the model's digital first.
