The Story

Katara debuted alongside the rest of Team Avatar in Avatar: The Last Airbender, the Nickelodeon series created by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko that premiered in 2005. As the last waterbender of the Southern Water Tribe, she is the one who finds Aang frozen in the iceberg, and from that moment she never stops pushing him, and everyone around her, to do the right thing.

What makes Katara stand out across three seasons is how much she grows without losing who she is. She starts the series still learning to bend water, and ends it as one of the most powerful benders in the world, but the compassion and stubborn sense of justice are there from episode one. VeVe's set picks three points on that arc instead of settling for a single pose.

Every piece in the set carries VeVe's First Appearance tag, its marker that a collectible is the character's genuine platform debut. Market Context

This was a Season 12 drop under VeVe's Paramount Pictures license, carrying the standard 8.50% market fee. Because it only released June 27, 2026, none of the 75 withheld editions have burned yet, so current scarcity comes entirely from the mint counts and pull odds rather than any post-launch burn.

Katara's arrival gives Avatar: The Last Airbender a real presence on VeVe alongside the platform's existing Paramount Pictures lineup. As one of the most requested animated properties for a digital collectible line, this first set carries built-in demand from a fandom that has stayed loyal since the show ended in 2008.
