The Story

Basim Ibn Ishaq is the lead of Assassin's Creed Mirage (2023), Ubisoft's return to the series' stealth roots set in ninth-century Baghdad. He starts the game as a street thief, quick-witted and restless, pulled toward something bigger than the life in front of him. Long-time Assassin's Creed fans first met a version of Basim years earlier as a side character in Assassin's Creed Valhalla, but Mirage is where his own story, and his transformation into a Hidden One, actually plays out.

What separates Basim from a typical protagonist is the thread of nightmarish visions running under the stealth gameplay, hints that his path is about more than climbing the ranks of an order. VeVe's set leans into that duality, pairing his early thief era with the more unsettling chapter where those visions start closing in.

Both pieces in the set carry VeVe's First Appearance tag, its marker that a collectible is the character's genuine platform debut. That covers his origin as a Baghdad street thief and the darker turn where his visions push him toward the deeper truth of who he is.

The Two Variants

Both sculpts share the same $40 list price, so the pull odds separate them, and the base page also flags a small run of 44 special edition pulls folded into the box beyond the two named variants.

The two named variants add up to 1,078 editions, with VeVe's series page listing 1,122 total editions, the extra 44 accounted for by a small batch of special edition pulls folded into the box that are not broken out as their own listing. 80 editions are withheld and none have burned yet since this is a fresh drop.

Market Context

This was a Season 12 drop under VeVe's Ubisoft license, and it carries an unusually low 4.50% market fee, friendlier for trading than the 8.50% you see on some other licenses. Because it only released July 11, 2026, none of the 80 withheld editions have burned yet, so current scarcity comes entirely from the mint counts and pull odds rather than any post-launch burn.

Basim gives VeVe's Assassin's Creed line its first proper character set. An earlier Assassin's Creed Rooftop Diorama scene piece dropped without First Appearance status, so this Basim series is the one that actually opens the door for character-driven Assassin's Creed collectibles on the platform.

Collector's Note

For Assassin's Creed collectors, this is the set to start with, the first character-based entry for the franchise on VeVe. The Nightmares and Truth Secret Rare is the piece to chase for scarcity, while the base Basim variant is the accessible way to hold his first-appearance status.
